In 1953, Domingo Alonso became the importer for Volkswagen in Canarias. This agreement turned the company into the fourth oldest Volkswagen importer of the world. In 1966, Domingo Alonso was incorporated as a limited company, with a share capital of 15 million pesetas. Back then, its head office was based in León y Castillo Street, number 33. Nowadays, the company keeps importing and distributing the Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercials Vehicles, SKODA, Audi and Ducati brands for the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla and Gibraltar.
